This is a reference — not homework.

How to Use This Page

Structural change happens through support, awareness, and time, not force.

  • Explore what feels relevant

  • Revisit sections after each session

  • Notice how your body responds

If something feels unfamiliar or unclear, that’s part of the process.
We’ll continue to guide you in person.

Spine & Whole-Body Integration

Support • Power • Coordination

Session 3 brings everything together.

This session focuses on helping your body use the changes from the previous sessions in real-world movement.

Key Concept: Power Muscles vs Stabilizer Muscles

Your body relies on two main roles:

  • Stabilizer muscles — provide support and control

  • Power muscles — create movement

When stabilizers do not support well, power muscles often overwork. This imbalance can lead to fatigue, tightness, or recurring discomfort.

Go Deeper: Integration & Efficiency

Structural Bodyworks helps rebalance these roles so stabilizers can support efficiently and power muscles can move freely. When this relationship improves, movement feels lighter, smoother, and less effortful.

This is not about strength — it’s about coordination and timing.

Integration & Self-Care Orientation

Less doing.
More noticing.

Helpful practices may include:

  • mindful walking

  • brief posture check-ins

  • allowing movement to feel easier

There is no routine to memorize.

What’s Next?

After completing the 3-Series, next steps may include:

  • maintenance Structural Bodyworks sessions

  • massage or recovery work

  • movement or performance training

  • periodic structural check-ins

Your therapist will help guide this based on your goals.

Optional Tools & Support

(Explore Only If Helpful)

Some clients enjoy additional tools or education. Others don’t need them at all.

Possible support options include:

  • the Body Balanced Kit

  • footwear awareness and barefoot shoe education

  • additional educational videos

Use only what supports your experience — not what adds pressure.

Closing

Structural change doesn’t come from forcing the body.
It comes from support, awareness, and time.

Use what resonates.
Leave the rest.

We’re here to guide you.
